I'm running Win2kPro on a 2.4GHz PC w/ 1GB RAM. On my
task bar I have a couple of folders containing shortcuts
to apps I use often, and on my browser (IE6.0.2800 w/ SP1)
I have a Links bar with several shortcuts and associated
icons.
Lately, the icons "associated" with these shortcuts have
been changing, or have become statically wrong. For
instance, the icon for my Quicken shortcut on my Taskbar
has changed to something completely different, and it has
remained there, even after I tried to reassociate with the
correct icon via the shortcut's Properties menu. The
icons for, e.g., Word and Excel, simply change from time
to time, or are completely absent. On the Links toolbar
of my IE, I had Wells Fargo's icon associated with that
shortcut, but that got changed to the lower case e that
Microsoft uses routinely; I can't make the Wells Fargo
icon (or any other on the browser) permanent.
Any help in correcting this would be appreciated.
