Lost ability to send web page or link

F

Frustrated

I use to be able to send web page by email or web links.
Now when I click the send selection, my Outlook Express
mail window no longer opens. Using IE 6. Have just lost my
connection or link to the Outlook Express program and
don't know how to get it back.

Have gone through all the steps in OE to ensure that it is
my default mail handler,etc.

Any suggestions??

Thanks Frank...looked up this article.Printed it and did
each step. I even went to regedit and the correct info was
there........but it STILL does not work. Just for lack of
any other better ideas, reloaded IE and still no luck. Do
you have any other suggestions??

Not if your steps included:
From http://www.fjsmjs.com/OE/defaultl.htm

Go to Start | Run and type this command, with the double quotes and spaces:

"C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /reg

and then make sure that OE is selected as the default mail program in both
IE and OE.

If that isn't enough, see this article:

You might also want to try this:

Restores OE to the E-mail clients list in Internet Options
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_desc/oe_client.htm

To set Outlook 98, 2000 or 2002(XP) as the default mail client,- Go to
Start, Run - Type in the following with quotation marks and press ok
"C:\program files\microsoft office\office\outlook.exe" /checkclient
