Cannot email web page

S

STRAFE

For some reason, my IE 6 browser no longer allows me to
send a link or web page. when I click on the "Send Page",
absolutely nothing happens.
I have checked the IE URL settings to make sure they are
directed at Outlook Express, which is also selected as my
default mail pgm under the Tools/Options/Programs settings
in IE.
Anyone have any other possible solutions?

Tried those fixes, but nothing has changed.
My OE works fine, so it must be something to
do w/ IE.

Windows version?

Is MS Outlook or Office also installed?

Have you ever installed Netscape or another alternate browser?

Is Internet Explorer chosen as the default browser and is the "IE should
check to see if it's the default browser" option checked (IE Tools>Internet
Options>Programs)?[/QUOTE]

MS Outlook and Office are installed.

I recently installed Mozilla Firebird & Thunderbird
to try them out.....it is about the same time this
problem showed up. I have since uninstalled them, but
perhaps they have changed some settings.

Internet Explorer is chosen under (IE Tools>Internet
Options>Programs) as the default browser.

Thank you Bear

Address Book may be configured to share contacts with Outlook.

Do you have this Registry key?...

HKEY_CURRENT_USER
\Software
\Microsoft
\WAB
\WAB4

Is there a DWORD named UseOutlook and is its value set to 1 (one)?

If so, Address Book is configured to share contacts with Outlook, even
if you don't use it (can happen with the install of Office). Change the
value to 0 (zero), Address Book should be available to you and all should be
well. (If that DWORD is not present, don't create it.)
