loopback address overwriting incoming pop address

I have a problem with outlook express in that when I switch off/on the
computer it resets my incoming pop server (e.g. pop.ispname.com) to the
loopback address 127.0.0.1, even though I apply changes and get it working
prior to switching off the computer. Problem only happens when computer is
turned off/on. Am using XP. Any ideas?

Get a better anti-virus program that doesn't require making changes to the
e-mail accounts. Or get used the change since it simply means the e-mail
goes through your anti-virus program, just the way you configure your
anti-virus to behave (if you don't want that then configure your anti-virus
program to not scan e-mails).

You never really did say there was a problem. You change the settings and
they change back. Yeah, so what? Is there really a problem with your mails
that they don't get sent, they don't get received, or you get timeouts? You
put the fork on the leftside but someone moves it to the rightside. You
still have the fork to use.
