long time to load personal settings

Can anybody help with this one.

I have a w2k server and domain that a workstation is
logging into.

When you put in login in it takes 15 minutes for it to
apply the personal settings and load. This only happens
on my w2k workstations and not my win xp workstations.

Please help.

Start by checking your DNS settings, so that your stations are pointing to
your internal DNS server not to your ISP's.
