Hi,
My new laptop came with XP Pro installed as desired but had been set up with
a User Account named "Any Authorised User". I prefer a more personal user
name for myself, so I changed the Logon Name. However the folder in
Documents and Setting remains the same as before.
I found MS Knowledge Base article 283111, which deals with this issue and
tells me how to rename the actual account name and not just the logon name.
The article tells me that this does not, however, rename the Documents and
Settings folder, which I still want to do.
Does anyone know whether if I rename the actual account via Computer
Management\Local Users and Groups\Users\ - rename, I can then simply rename
the folder in Documents and Settings and have it work properly?
I'd be most grateful for any advice, thanks.
