Log Off/Log ON very Slow

Hi everyone,

The Log Off/Log On process is really slow on R51,T60s Laptop. I've checked
the profile and it's only 15MB. I've checked the start up everything looks
normal. I've ran sigverif to check unsigned driver, I've got 3 drivers which
are used By IBM Thinkpad. Not to mention shutdown it takes around 5 minutes.

Any idea ??

thanks

Are you standalone, workgroup or domain?
If domain, it could be that it is sending the temporary internet folder
contents both ways.
It may seem strange, but clear your temporary internet folder, then report
back.

These laptops are on the domain. I've already deleted the temporary internet
from each profile it didn't help.

thanks

OK, there may be something in group policy that is at play here. Do you
save your work to the local My Documents folder or do you have a share on
the server that you save work to? It may be that your entire My Documents
folder contents is being transferred from the server when you log on and log
off - something that is avoidable via group policy.

Thanks for the reply. Each user has his own Home drive on the network. We
don's store anything locally.
