Listening ports

When doing netstat -a, I see a lot of ports listening in my W2K server. How
can I stop some ports from listening? Thanks in advance.

You need to stop the corresponding service
check %windir%\system32\Drivers\etc\services for a list of possible services

You can use tcpview from www.sysinternals.com to find the service or
application using the port.
