Linking WIN 98 table into SBS 2003 ACCESS MDB

I have an ACCESS MDB running on a SBS 2003 server. I would like ot get
external data VIA a linked table which is currently on a WIN 98 PC on my
network.
But when I try to do the link - Access reports that for security reasons I
can't access outside my INTRANET or I should only try to link to an
accessible network (which is my WIN 98 PC).

How can I make this link happen?

Can you open any file on the server from the workstation?

From the workstation, can you create, open, edit and save
a file in the same folder where the data file is?
