Limited account's access to CD WRITER

Hi there I wonder if anyone can help with this.

Our church runs a savings club, the weekly amounts are recorded in an exel file.
The member who records the information logs in under a lmited account.

She wants to save the file on a weekly basis on a CDR but gets an error message saying that she does not have access rights to the CD writer.

Is it possible to provide such access to a limited account in XP Home, or do we need to upgrade her account to administrator.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Giving that user admin privileges would be the simple fix for the problem,
without tweaking the permissions, which can be difficult in the Home version
of XP. Unless that member is not trusted.

Thanks for your reply Ronnie, at the end of the day I might end up doing what you suggest.

But I've been playing around a bit and seem to have done something that works, I dragged the CDRW (drive D) icon into shared folders and it can now be accessed from the limited account although going through 'save as' in exel still doesn't permit acces to the CDRW she will now be able to simply copy the completed file to the it.

It seems to be working at the moment but if it goes wrong I will probably do what you suggested.

Thanks again for replying.
