we expect around 12 inches by tomorrow

Our gardener just finished mowing our lawn a few hours ago. It was
tiring to watch so I took a nap.

It's little reminders like yours that make me remember why we moved
away from snow country.

Season's greetings to you and yours Robin.

Started snowing on the Southwest coast of Korea late Wednesday afternoon and
it's still coming down. Nothing heavy, just a steady light snow. We are
very close to 12 inch accumulation. Forecast is for snow to end Sunday, but
be back just in time for Christmas.

Doing the same on the East coast of the USA, too---due for maybe 18 inches
here in Philadelphia, though.

Sounds like you are getting off light. We went downtown today to prepare a
room for a holiday dinner tomorrow--parked at a meter, paid (didn't know
meters are free on Saturdays through the holidays...) Got towed because it
was a snow emergency route--two tickets, $127 between them... At least they
only towed to a street about 4 blocks away, and we managed to find out where
before coming out and finding nothing there at all...

I've hesitated to say anything, since there's been more or less snow on
the ground here (Bozeman) since October and on the more side since early
November. With warmer temps the past couple of weeks - upper 30s to mid
40s - we just need more to get those x-c ski conditions back on track
(what's the purpose of living in snow country otherwise).

Well - since we got those 22.5 inches, it has warmed up and rained for a
couple of days--and it is nearly all gone, except for large piles from
shovelers or ploughs.

I'm sure we're going to get more this winter, though--which will be a nice
change from the average winter here.
