Laptop on network booting by itself..... Help!

Alan

I have a netgear DG 834G connecting my desktop wirelessly to my laptop.
Problem is since connecting to the network the laptop keeps turning itself
on. There is never a set time, and it is not connected to a phone line. I
am running Phoenix Bios in the laptop and Boot on LAN is set to disabled,
and I can find no other settings which might cause it to boot itself.

Anyone got any ideas how to stop it doing this?

Thanks for any help....

Boot over LAN and Wake on LAN are two different things. Look for a way to
disable "wake-on-LAN".

Thanks for the clarification on Boot on / Wake on LAN. I just had a
thorough look through the BIOS options and there is no Wake On option
anywhere. :-( I think I may need to contact the supplier of my laptop.

Thanks anyway

Alan
