KB888111 and KB835221

It seems every time I call Microsoft I get a differnt anser concerning my
basic questions with these 2 hot fixes. Oh and yes you must call Microsoft
in order to get them! You can also find the driver from your OEM and in the
driver file should also include the correct hotfix. KB 835221 states that it
is for XP SP1 but yet it is included in driver files by OEM's such as HP,
Dell and Gateway, If you install XP SP2 you still need this hot fix in order
for the driver to work. Please see my questions below.

1. Can both 888111 and 835221 reside on the same system?
2. Can they both be preinstalled as part of a base image?

1) If it was me, I'd just install KB 888111, since it works with
both WinXP SP1 and SP2, only because it appears KB 835221 was
released before XP SP2 was released and since the files from both
have the same name and reside in the same folder, then no, they both
can't reside simultaneously, either one or the other.
2) Imagine so, if you create the image with one or the other
installed, it should be there when you run the mini setup, if not,
you can always have it along with any other fixes/patches install
themselves silently during mini setup.

Could you send me the 888111 [...]

You may get KB888111 by downloading some HDA (High definition Audio)
drivers (from Realtek for example). The Hotfix should be inside the
driver archive.
