K8V with RLZ 0333 capacitors

I finally bit the bullet and RMA'd my K8V. The new one will be here in a
couple days and will be the 3rd. I had the 3 RLZ 0333 caps on the right of
the CPU on the second board. They look OK and everything works fine. I just
got the Cool and Quiet thing up and that is functioning perfectly as well.
I'm a bit put out with Asus. I contacted them several times about this via
email and phone. Never an email response aside from a canned one where they
hadn't read my question. The live voice I reached today said I could RMA if
I wanted to (Oh, Really?). He declined to offer any info. Also the phone
reps have promised more than once that a tech would respond to my question.
But nothing.
I had the option with my reseller of getting a different board. I'm sticking
with this Asus because swapping the same board means I won't have to
reinstall. The replacement board may be fine, but I imagine this will be my
last Asus purchase. They have been completely unreponsive and evasive.

We also just figured out that several capicators on our new new K8V deluxe
boards are damaged. One system is running for less than 4 weeks and the
other for less than 2 weeks. The system running for less than 2 weeks even
didn't see a high cpu-load yet.

The next amd-board we buy will definitely be from fujitsu-siemens.

Cheers,
Bernd
