Just bought Outlook 2007 Standalone. Can't enter product key.

I just bought Outlook 2007 Standalone and can't enter the product key. Is
that because this software is only good on Windows XP????? I just saw on the
side of the box that it says it requires XP with service pack 2 or later.
Does that mean it won't work on my Vista machine? Is there a Vista version? I
can't tell you how freaking frustrating this is. Any help would be great. My
other computer blew up because of a windows update and is out being fixed for
who knows how long. So I am trying to install Outlook 2007 on my computer so
I can use my calendar and contacts, which is my lifeline.
When I type the product key, it won't let me type 1s for some reason. That
key is working fine on my computer.
Please help.

2007 will certainly work on Vista

Ahah! The clue. You are using the key that is on your computer? That is for
WINDOWS. The key you need for Outlook is on the CD box.
