Can't even install Outlook

I just bought Outlook 2007 to run on my new HP desktop computer (Vista 64
bit). The disk will not run in that computer but DOES run in my new Toshiba
laptop, also on Vista 64 bit. It starts to Autorun, then stops after a few
seconds. I cannot get it to do anything by clicking on setup.exe. Microsoft
email support blew me off. HELP! I really need this installed on the
DESKTOP. THANKS!!

What reason does it give for quitting? Check the install log if a dialog
doesn't come up.

Is this an office suite or standalone outlook? did you have an older version
of outlook installed before?

Copy the contents of the CD to a folder on the Hard Drive, and install from the Hard Drive

This is a standalone version of outlook. No prior installations. No reason
for quitting - just gives up. As for install log - -I am not sure where to
find this. THANKS for the help!

I thought this was going to work - but halfway through i started to get
messages that setup could not find Outlookr.WW\olkrWW.cab - when I browsed
to the Outlookr.WW folder on EITHER the hard drive OR the CD, I got an
invalid location message - If I browsed to the Office 12 file containing
Outlookr.WW the progress bar backtracked and after a short time reproduced
this message (followed by a similar message looking for
Outlookr.WW\office64WW.msi) - after repeated attmepts I realized that the
progress bar just goes BACK to a certain point and then moves up to these
messages - - Now what???
THANK YOU for the help!
