Hi,
Can anyone tell me how to rid myself of this virus. I don't know how I got
it and didn't know I had it until a friend wrote and said I sent it to her.
Her Norton took care of it, but I scanned AVG and they say no virus found
but then housecall found two JS Fortnight-B....they said they couldn't
delete them.........help please someone.....

First, get a reliable virus scanner. AVG just doesn't cut it
obviously. Unless you wish to purchase a better scanner, you can try
F-Prot for DOS at http://www.complex.is

I have AVG 6.0. I can't seem to get 6.510. Is that the latest up-date? I
read that others are having troubles updating also.
Yes Art, that is the virus I have. Seems that so many of them are sexual
programs. I never go to those urls, though I do get one once in a while in
my e-mail. I just delete them.
I had McAfee, but it ran out on me about May. Should I delete it? I have
been scanning with it too, but if the dat files aren't up to date is it
doing any good?
I also have ad-aware, Zone Alarm and Spybot..I've been running AVG for a
long time now with no problems.

Well, if the description matches what you're seeing on your drive and
in your registry, you should be able to manually remove it, or at
least disable it for the time being. Have you tried?

No it's not doing much good.

I suggest that you update to the latest version of McAfee if you like
it or download a trial version of another good av such as KAV or
F-Secure.
