jpg to Powerpoint

R

Richard Huggins

I'm on a Mac running OS 8.6. I don't have Powerpoint on my computer, but I
want to be able to convert jpg's into a format Powerpoint (on a Windows PC
at the office) can open as Powerpoint slides.

I have a program called Graphic Converter which will convert jpgs to any of
many, many filetypes. What filetype(s) are among those that Powerpoint will
open? Ideally I would convert these jpgs, then email them to the other
computer, that Powerpoint would open them readily and then I'd make them
into a Powerpoint ppresentation there.

Thanks for any help or course corrections.

Richard,

The only files that PowerPoint can run are PowerPoint files. However,
PowerPoint can read JPG files to insert them into PowerPoint slides. There is
no need to convert the files to another format. GraphicConverter will be
useful for editing the pictures and, if you want them to fill the screen,
making sure that their width to height ratio is 4 to 3.

Once you get the pictures over to the computer with PowerPoint, you might
find the advice at "BATCH IMPORT images into PowerPoint" to be helpful,
particularly if you have a lot of pictures:
