jpeg recovery

While copying jpegs to a CD-R I would get an error message regarding
the "thumbs.db" file causing the process to abort. When I would then try to
view the files on my hardrive they would be unreadable. I've tried to open
the files using Microsoft Viewer, Adobe Photoshop and Explorer.

I've solved the problem of copying the jpegs. When I try to view the
properties of the remaining file there is no information but the file is
taking up the appropriate amount of space on the harddrive. Does anyone
know how to recover these damaged jpeg files?

The thumbs.db file contains thumbnail views of all the pictures in a file,
and is used to display thumbnails in Windows Explorer. Explorer recreates
this file whenever there are changes to the picture files (add, delete,
modify).

I don't know how your jpeg files would be corrupted, sorry.
