Ken. The link in your link for Microsoft's Java Virtual Machine is now broken.

I found this one that works:

Microsoft is prevented by the court from distributing it. You can
get it at

Sun Java: http://java.sun.com/getjava/index.html.

Microsoft's Java Virtual Machine:
http://www.java-virtual-machine.net/download.html.

Thanks, but I just tried it again here, and it's not broken.
There's a link there to a download site.

Greetings --

As the result of a lawsuit by Sun Microsystems, and the ensuing
settlement, Microsoft was not allowed to provide its own Java Virtual
Machine to Windows XP users. You can get almost the same
functionality by downloading Sun's version of Java from
http://java.sun.com/getjava/index.html. If you want the wider website
compatibility of Microsoft's Java Virtual Machine, it is still
available from a lot of 3rd-party web sites, one of which is here:
http://www.virtualmachine.tk/.

If you do choose the Microsoft JVM, be sure to visit Windows
Update to apply a needed security patch.

Greetings --

Ken, it's the second link, the one to the download site, that
seems to be broken. I haven't been able to access it for several
days, now. Another, still functioning link, is
http://www.virtualmachine.tk/.
