I am trying to view a web camera site and have been able to up till now with no problems, now I get this message saying I can no longer view it and I dont understand why...Here is the message...(We're sorry, you cannot view this page because it requires the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine (MSJVM). Your machine does not have the MSJVM installed. For more information please visit www.microsoft.com/java.
I do have several Javas installed on my machine and have re-installed and cannot view the internet camera site at all..
Is there some conflict with the virtual machine and Java and Microsoft
Can someone explain to me what I need to do to view the web cam I want to see??? I have gone to several Java sites and reinstalled Java and restarted my computer for changes to take effect and still no luck..
Please and thank you...Ka

You may have the *Sun* - Official - Java, but not MIcrosoft's version.
First I would check with a Start - Run - WJView which will tell you the
version of any MSoft one that you have. If there is one, then probably
the Java applet provided by Sun in Control Panel is set (Browsers)
section to use that with Internet Explorer.

MS produced a Java that extends the language as defined by Sun, so that
it would 'work better' with Windows. This was not included in windows
XP, but was available as a separate download, and included in XP SP1
There appear to be sites that have taken advantage of this, and will not
work with the Sun one - you have run into one of these

Sun sued MSoft, and the ruling in the case prohibits MS from making
'their' engine available as a download - so it is left out of the
revised SP1a

You can still get a 3805 or 3809 build from some sites that are *not*
MSoft sites - and MSoft is not going to object.
eg 3805 from Http://www.bigblackglasses.com/staff/downloads/msjavx86.exe

Once you have such an older version you can get the 816093 'critical
security update' which is effectively a complete build, 3810. If your
run of WJview says you have an earlier one, get that update for it too
