Iwon prize machine

I had previously used IWon Prize Machine. I recently tried to
re-install it on my computer to find out that the ActiveX control being
used will not install after I installed XP Service Pack 2. I know many
people say it is adware, spyware, etc. I have spybot and Microsoft
AntiSpyware. they will tell me if they think it is a major threat.
Just because some people may not want it on their computer, doesn't
mean everybody doesn't. Does anyone have any ideas how to make IWon
Prize Machine work? Please don't tell me it is spyware and you think
it is a good thing that XP SP2 doesn't allow it to run. I don't think
it is a positive or a good thing. If I choose to run a piece of
software, even if some consider it spyware, that is my choice and I
should be allowed to do so. Any useful suggestions will be
appreciated. Thanks.

Blind faith. Not every program knows every threat. People use anti-virus
programs and regularly update but still get infected. The compnies can't
produce anti-anything until the threat is out there and identified.

If you want it on your computer that's fine.

But you have to live with its effects.

Contact the publishers. They should offer help- if they don't then that
should tell you something about them.

Yes. It is your choice. You may have found one of the things where you make
the choice- and take the responsibility for that choice.

Uninstall SP2 and run your choice of software whether it is malware or not
if that is what you want.

Just make sure you take all sensible security precautions- don't leave bank
account details easily found on your pc, pin numbers, passwords etc. Be
prepared to reinstall if things get bad on your PC, be prepared to accept
responsibility for your choice and if you get any problems and don't forget
to tell any investigators that you have used this software- it may make
their job easier.

If the software is so good, and the company reputable, then ask them for
support.
