ITunes Movie Problems on IPod

I am able to upload mp3 files onto my Ipod but the movies i download will
not tranfer over tomy IPod, i know i have to convert my video files to
something but i do not know what that is. Can someone help meout with this?

Video iPods need movie files to be in .MP4 .M4V or .MOV format.
