My computer sometimes reboots if I bump the desk, so I save my work offten
and just deal with it. Until recently it has been a little inconvenient.
Then one nite it won't reboot,
I turn off automstic reboot and it says "log on validation error or
something like that.;
I then put in X P home version disc and try to restore curupt files where
I was asked put in addministrators pass word I did and I guess
windows forgot what it was, so I couldn't fix it that way.
I put in new hard drive reinstall XP and made it boot drive, now I can
transfer my files from original drive, NOT, they are protected I can see
where they are but can't get them.
Any ideas can I now do a system restore using points from original XP
install on old hard drive.
What are Permissions?
I sure would like to see the last three months owrth of files, I knew I
should have backed up.
Help please it is appreciated.
Bob
