Istallation problems

Tiatto

Still have problem istalling Championship Manager 0102,
this is what it says; It has been noticed that
InstallShield can report that there is enough hard disk
space free to install Championship Manager 01/02, yet run
out of disk space during install.

This happens when installing Championship Manager 01/02
to a different drive to the one
windows is installed upon. The disk space reported is on
the target drive, yet
Installshield unpacks data to the windows drive in a
temporary directory.

Help me please!! Clean up the disk wont work.

Hi Tiatto,

How much free space do you have on C:\, and
how many files / folders are in your Temp directory?

Hi Tiatto,

If you click Start / Run / type: %temp% press ENTER
it will open your temp directory up for you in an Explorer window.
Delete every file and folder you find in there, and try installing again.

Have you perchance "tweaked" your system? A couple web sites and a PC
magazine gave some erroneous "tips" to increase Windows XP's speed by
turning off certain Services. In the case of the message you're seeing, I
believe it is related to Cryptographic Services being disabled. Go into
Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services and make sure it is Started.

Hi Tiatto,

Let's try using 95 or 98 compatibility mode to install the
game, make sure you are using an administrator account.

To install a program using Windows XP's Compatibility Mode, hold
down SHIFT as you insert the game CD, use My Computer to browse
to the setup program, and then skip down to step 1 in the list below:

To run an installed program using Windows XP's Compatibility Mode,
first right click the program and "Send To..." / Desktop (create shortcut).

1.. Right click on the shortcut to the program.
2.. Click on Properties.
3.. Click on the Compatibility tab.
4.. Click on Run this program in compatibility mode and select one of these:
a.. Windows 95
b.. Windows 98
c.. Windows NT 4
d.. Windows 2000
5.. Under Display settings, check mark the mode that you think that is best:
a.. Run in 256 colors.
b.. Run in 640 X 480 screen resolution.
c.. Disable visual themes.

Click on Apply.Click on Ok.Double click on the program.
