Issue installing IE Beta 2 if Beta 1 already installed

As a MSDN Subscriber I've installed IE 7 Beta 1 some time ago. During the
past months I managed to delete the uninstall files from my system folder,
therefore, I am not able to uninstall Beta 1 from Add/remove Programs (even
with 'show updates' activated).

When I try to install IE 7 Beta 2, the setup procedure tells me that
Internet Explorer 7 is already installed and I should uninstall it from
Add/remove Programs.

Could someone help? I found a hint on the web, advising to install IE 7 Beta
1 on a new Windows XP installation and then copy the $uninstall$-files to my
PC - but this is not possible for me.

Thank you.

Hi Cris :)
Just to be sure: I DO NOT HAVE A RESTORE POINT

I know that is does not help for this event, but, for future reference, ROT
(Rule of Thumb) should be that you always create a restore point prior to
installing or uninstalling anything, even updates, as some updates have been
known to cause problems for some users, and not just Windows updates. It
was a lesson I learned the hard way when I had Win ME. <g>
