Is there a way to set the viewing preference for a tree of folders?

Rich

I want to set the viewing preference of all my pictures to thumbnails.
I have many folders and subfolders in my pictures directory and to
open each folder and change the preference is tedious.

Is there a way to select the top folder and then apply a viewing
preference to that folder plus all the subfolders.

For most of the other folders on my system I use "details" and I don't
want to change those. And I have a few folders that display Icons and
I don't want to change those either.

TIA, Rich

The My Pictures folder is a unique folder and you can't change its type,
but right-click any sub-folder, or folder elsewhere, click Properties,
Customize tab, and change the folder type to "Documents (for any file
type)". Click "Also apply this template to any sub-folders". That
should give those folders a Thumbnail view by default.

GAK! I meant for you to change the folder type to "Pictures" (or maybe
"Photo Albums") type to see thumbnails by default.
