A thread like this was started in the K-Meleon-forums this week, and
allthough 'we' on the internet are a community where it doesn't matter
where you're from, it might be interesting to take a look at the
geographical layout of this newsgroup.

Because I thought and still think it's interesting, the numerous follow-ups
seem to indicate that I'm not the only one who doesn't find this thread
terrible.
I don't no much about Mozilla, but I guess it has filtering options for the
threads you don't want to read. Probably you could filter out all threads
with subjects that contain 'OT:'

It's a very good thread.

I filter out Peter Seiler, as 98% of his posts are off-topic. Every once
in a blue moon, he has something to say about freeware. But the other 98%
of the time, all he does is snipe and bitch, and always the same tiresome
theme, about his little set of pet peeves.

So, what's your location, missy ? :)

It feels like a real yawner, after watching the globe spin here.
Any case: USA > west coast > California. (Norcal, not boooo Socal.)

I'm not certain, but my memory says he is a teenager. So using the group
in the way he does probably helps bolster up that delicate adolescent
male self-esteem. At least he's not out shooting small animals with a
pellet gun or similar. I figure he derives the sustenance he needs from
his activities here -- attacking poor newbies for having quoted full posts
when they said thank you, etc.

That or, god help us, the famous german synthesizer musician.

Now we don't know that, do we ? ;)

I occasionaly boost my self-esteem by yelling at people in alt.test, it's a
lot cheaper than therapy.

I was wondering if we had anyone on the west coast. So far, everyone
else in the US is from the eastern half of the country.
