Your first thread was on 20 Aug and you got 3 replies - on 8 Sept a further
thread appears in that 20 Aug one asking same Q for which you got 3 replies.
If you dont already, tag your threads so you can see them more clearly.
Between the replies, you have all the methods for finding your IP address.
Does this assist you?

Hi Ronald
Having posted to you some 4 hours ago, I felt sure somebody by now would
have answered - well you caught me with my ...well guard down. Thank god
you are using OE. There may be some very clever ways of doing this or
similar - if there are then they will be posted. You may well be able to
set all this as a default?
You may well be doing this already and you misunderstood what I meant.
Open the newsgroup in which you are interested to read posts etc - right
click on the line containing 'SUBJECT/FROM/SENT' - you get some choices - 2
sorts and one column.
To the left of 'SUBJECT' is where the columns are/will go when selected.
Hope you are still with me.
For my personal use I only have the following boxes ticked -
Flag/watch/subject/from/sent/size - whilst in the choices window put 25 in
the pixel width box.
Click OK.
Now pick any thread at random - with do a left click at the side of the
thread and in line with the pair of spectacles - up should pop a green pair
of specs - if you then click on another thread, the one you just selected
should show in red.
If I reply/respond to a thread with a post of my own I repeat the above left
click in line with the little flag - so the chosen thread should have 2
items selected - a flag and specs.
When I have finished with a thread, one left click gets rid of the flag, but
2 are required to get rid of the specs.
Now the tricky bit - IF you left click on the specs sign in the row next to
Subject once, all disappear - then if you right click again up will come the
choice box again with the 2 sorts and the column. The ascending will be
ticked so left click on the descending - scroll up to the top of the threads
and with any luck you should see you selected threads in red(dark red if
there is an unread reply/post)with the most recent on top. These flagged
threads will all display in a group together at the top.
I hope you can follow this - as you may have noticed, it lacks any techspeak
references to various actions - I wouldn't know the right ones in any case.
I will keep a watch in case you have a problem.
