I am having a problem connecting to web sites if i type
in www.google.com a error message will come up saying
check the path to make shoure it is correct but if i type
in http://www.google.com/ it will go to the site how do i
fix this so i can type in www.google.com and have it
still go to the site. my problem not that i dont like to
type but it is not allowing some of my other programs
from working because they need to connect to a site but
cant.

Check the below Registry entries vs. yours:
