Internet Speed Monitor

On my Son's laptop he has picked up some kind of spyware called Internet
Speed Monitor. The IE Browser will open on its own and shows Internet speed
monitor on the title at the top of the browser but the page is blank and
the address bar shows:
http://c5.zedo.com/jsc/c5/ff2.html?n=670;c=32;s=539;d=15jw=l;h=1.
Can someone tell me how to cure this? I have tried a couple of spyware
programs but to no avail.

If its not listed in add/remove programs,then open my computer,search,
type in name of software,use the option"search hidden files/folders",in
results,delete it.After,go to run,type:regedit In regedit,expand:HKEY_LOCAL_
MACHINE/software,locate the software & R.click,delete,close,expand:LOCAL_
USER/software,do the same,close out regedit.Go to run,type:%Temp% Go to
edit,select all,delete all,close out.In internet options,security tab,set
all icons
to default.

Thanks for the info. There is nothing in the Add/Remove list nor could I

needed - research with Google.
