Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer seems to have disappeared from my computer. When I click
on the icon, it says "about blank" in the web address line. Also when I
click on properties, it says 0 for everything. I previously had IE 6.0 on my
computer with my Windows XP. Any ideas what happened? How do I get it
repaired?

Goto C:\WINDOWS\inf\Ie.inf right click the inf file and select install.

Thank you for your suggestion, but I have no idea where to find that file. I tried a search on of the files, and none with this name were found. Please help.
