internet explorer problem

Hi,

Where's my internet explorer?
Why doesn't it work?

When click the icon, i get the property box.

When I installed firefox, it disappears completely.
I like firefox, but I don't want it as my default browser.
help!

There is nothing in the Firefox installer that will cause this. Firefox is a
relatively innocuous program, it makes only minor modifications to the OS.

It may be the shortcut that's broken, try going to Program Files\Internet
Explorer and running iexplore.exe directly. If this works, create a new
shortcut.

The other possibility is that your machine had acquired malware. If you've
been using IE for general browsing then there a high probabliliy that it has
picked-up at least one unwanted piece of advertising junk. Scan with Lavasoft
