Internet Explorer Won't Save .gifs or .jpgs

Whenever I try to save an animation or a picture it
ALWAYS saves it as a bitmap, without me having the option
of changing what type of file it is. I've looked at the
same thing on different computers to see if perhaps it
was a file not supported by my computer but the other
computers allow it to be saved as a .gif. .Gifs
and .Jpgs do not work. ALSO...it won't let me view
sources via notepad. It just will not open up. Again I
have looked at the same things on different computers and
it lets me see the code. How do I fix this?

Marissa,

You need to clear the temporary internet files.

Also, refer this page:
Internet Explorer Does Not Save Graphics Files in the Proper Format

If the view source still does not work,

View Source - Restore Notepad as Default (Line 183)

View Source - Add or Change Editor (Line 183)
