HELP!!!
I use XP Pro, Internet Explorer 6. I used to use Norton
Antivirus but recently changed to McAffee due to problems
when using Norton with Dreamweaver 2004.
Since I have used McAffee I am unable to load "SECURE"
pages on the internet e.g. whilst attempting to complete
a Web purchase.
I spoke to McAffee who suggested that I turn off the
Virus checker and the Firewall...this made NO difference.
They suggested that I speak to my ISP (Demon UK) who were
very keen to help but were at a loss to understand why I
had the problem. They suggested that I go onto the
MICROSOFT site and download ANY IE 6 upgrades. I jsut did
this and loaded the file to my hard drive BUT when I
tried to run the upgrade program a screen told me that I
had the wrong settings with my 'proxy server' or
something.
I am not a computer expert...PLEASE HELP!
Cheers
MIke
