Internet explorer 6 xpsp 2 Home page issue

Newsgroup members - I am on Windows XP ( Home edition )
and Internet explorer 6 xpsp 2. My home page setting
keeps getting set to About:blank, I go into my registry
and set all occurrences of About:Blank to a valid home
page type URL ( yahoo ) but keeps resetting to
About:blank. I have Zone alarm loaded and have run anti-
virus software, it appears to be clean, but still get
this problem. Also, not sure if it is related, When I go
into Web based mail, I get a pop up window saying
About:blank in the header or a deviation saying Search
Microsoft internet explorer and I get a constant xlicking
sound generated from the speakers. Any one got any ideas
please, I am almost at the point of rebuilding.

Same problem. Are there websites in your homepage history
dropdown? I have 2 that don't go away. CWS is the badboy.
Used Merlin.org 's shredder. No luck. I need the same
answer. (e-mail address removed)

CWShredder did it for me, teh About:blank is gone and my
home page now retains its value
