I am trying to open an attached WPD document and when I click on the
attachment, I am prompted to open or save. I click open and nothing
happens. I click save and it saves the document.

when I click on the saved doc it opens fine.

If I use another browser, the attachemnt opens in Word Perfect.

any ideas why this will not open in IE6 running XP pro

thanks

Gord

Hi,
I don't have Word Perfect installed, so I'm basing this on DOC files...
Go to Control Panel> Folder Options> File Types> WPD> Advanced. Uncheck
"Browse in same window." Check (it's probably already checked) "Confirm open
after download." Go to Actions> Open. Edit, make sure that the path to Word
Perfect is correct.

Hope this helps,
Don

Thanks for the information but still no luck opening WPD docs when
accessed as an attachment from IE6.

Any other possible solutions?

No idea. Since you started a new thread, how are we supposed to know what
you've tried already?

I don't have any other ideas, but...
Which e-mail program?

My guess is that you don't have any DDE specification
for that file type association.
