Internal error 2753

My MAS expired on 31/12/05 and I've been trying to update it without success.
Have tried suggestions on other threads, but no success. Every time I try and
update I get the message "Internal Error 2753.gcasInstallHelper.exe". I can't
even uninstall the programme from my PC as I get the same message. I've tried
deleting the components individually, but the following files won't delete:
gcAntiSpywareLibrary.dll
gcasDtserv
shellextention.dll
Can anyone tell me how I can delete these files and successfully reinstall
MAS?

Hello James,

you may try this:

look in the folder:
c:\WINDOWS\Installer\
for the file: gcasSWUpdater.exe
delete the folder with the 3 files in there and do a new install.
Workt for me with a other install problem.
