Intermittent Websense problem with IE6

Not sure anyone can be of help here... clutching at straws really.

We've recently had Websense installed on our proxy server. Most hosts IE
browsers (all IE6, same version), when trying to visit a prohibited site, get
the appropriate message from Websense indicating the site is either blocked
or they must use quota time in order to access it. That's fine.

However, we have a number of users who, when trying to access a site that
would normally be blocked, do not receive the appropriate message from
Websense and only get an Internet Explorer "Page Cannot be Displayed" error.
This is getting to be a bit of a mystery, as if you install another internet
browser on the machine and try the same thing, the message from Websense
comes straight up...

I've compared a working machine to a non-working machine, both with bang
up-to-date Windows and (so Help->About informs me) exactly the same IE
version. Incidentally, the problem is occuring far more prevalently on
laptops than desktops. That doesn't really help, just makes the issue more
confusing!

Pretty much stumped on this one... if anyone has an idea what could cause
such an issue, I'd love some feedback!

Thanks

Compare the "good" and "bad" machines "Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy
connections" IE settings in Tools...Internet Options...Advanced tab. This
was an issue with Websense and IE 5.x and it may have carried over to IE 6.
(We use Websense at the hospital where I work.)

Or, you may want to look at this first - From Websense's KB:

Page not found error when loading Websense Block Page
http://www.websense.com/global/en/S...all&key=page cannot be displayed&lang=English

If no joy, contact Websense support:
