Installing software

Hi.

I have encountered this problem when trying to install a software with
double clicking the .msi file/setup file.
My Windows XP is Prof Version, the error message is "msiexec.exe has
encountered a problem and needs to close".

Anyone have any idea how to resolve it???

If not resolved check your computer for spywares and remove if found any.

Does the problem only happen with one particular program or with
all .msi installers? If the latter, see these links:

If the problem occurs with only one program, contact that program's tech
support for help with their software.

I have problem with Windows Installer on XP2.
I could install any software using Windows Installer, the problem is
when
i double click the setup installation file, the progress dialog box of
Windows Installer is missing, but the software installation itself is
successful.

Could any one help me ?
