Installing IIS

I need to install IIS on my machine. The problem is when I insert the Win XP Pro CD trying to install it (install additional windows components), the IIS option does not show up. It does not show up because something on the windows image on my work PC prevents it from showing up, so I can not install IIS. I was able to install IIS on my home PC from the same CD. Is there a way to get around the image problem on my work PC? I really need to install IIS, but I don't want to reformat and reinstall windows, sonce this is a company PC and not my own

Sounds like your work has disabled the option for IIS.

Contact your IT department - their may be a group policy
in place that doesn't allow IIS on the computers.

their is a policy. they don't want people to install IIS. However, I got the approval to have it on my PC since my job requires it. The problem is The LAN admins and I don't know how to get around the image on my PC to install IIS.
