In cp>add remove >add remove windows components I do not have a choice for
IIS .... How do I install IIS 6 on my xp pro system

versus...
is not on the list from add remove components....

Are you trying to install it or uninstall it?

Be sure that you're logging on to the computer as either an administrator or a
member of the Administrators group using Windows XP Pro (IIS is not available on
the Home version).

Place your WinXP Pro setup CD in the CDROM drive while you're logged on run
setup.exe. From the menu choices select the third one down "Install optional
Windows components". Select IIS from the list and follow the prompts.

You can also accomplish the same end by following the procedure outlined in "How
to Install a Program from a CD-ROM or Floppy Disk" contained in this article:

If IIS still doesn't show up in the list, you'll have to tell us a lot more
about your computer.
