Installer - MSN Messenger 5.0

(Hello everyone, I am quite frustrated. I cannot open any pdf files. Every time I do I get an error message :
"An error occured during the installation of
assmebly component {874793FC-5F43-496A-8FE7-18C4DB9B143D}.
HRESULT: -2147024864." I can really use some help. (sigh)

I assume you mean Windows Messenger 5 as opposed to MSN Messenger 5.

To fix this, firstly, make sure that Windows Messenger 5 and MSN Messenger 6 are both closed.
You may even want to load up the Task Manager (press Ctrl-Alt-Del or right-click in the
taskbar and choose Task Manager) and make sure that msmsgs.exe and msnmsgr.exe are not
running.

Then uninstall Windows Messenger 5 by clicking Start, then Run, and type the following:
msiexec /x {1F0BD960-6525-4FEE-B577-2473F77F1277}
then click OK.

Then, after uninstallation, reinstall Windows Messenger 5 from:
