I installed an OEM Win XP on my computer.

How do I move my Win 98 programs and files to Win XP?

Also, my Outlook Express files/messages/address book has
not transfered. How do I transfer this info?

If you created a dual-boot installation, that means: Windows 98 is
still running on the computer, you have to reinstall your applications
in Windows XP. Or you remove Windows XP and reinstall it. This time
you have to make Windows XP install on top of the Windows 98
installation and not parallel to it.

Hi,

Programs need to be installed from the original installation media, not
copied over. Only installing creates needed registry entries and places
needed files in the system folder. Some programs may require a patch or
upgrade to be installed into WindowsXP.

Date files can be copied over, but you might want to try the FASTWIZ if you
can network the machines. Read up on it here:
