Installation Errors --

Hi,

When I tried to install files (*.exe), I got errors
window "Can't run 16-bit Windows program" with
message "Cannot find file C:\....\Local
Settings\Temp\pftF8~tmp\SETUP.EXE (or one of its
components). Check to ensure the path and filename are
correct and that all required libraries are available". I
checked the path and did not see the file setup.exe !!

I found the Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 250056
listing the same error message, but I did not install
Freehand, therefore the fix procedure for that article
cannot be used.

Do anyone know what are libraries needed for the
installations ?

This depends on whether yr actually trying to install a 16bit app, or
whether the msg is for all installs.
If it applies to non 16bit apps you could have a running background app that
is causing this.
