I have the same problem. For me, and I'm guessing Greg as
well, the name of the software doesn't matter. EVERYTHING
that attemps to install through InstallShield gives that
message.

I have noticed that I can also NOT run .msi files, which
require Windows Installer. And on InstallShield, the part
where it is messing up is when it's saying "Configuring
Windows Installer".

However, I have yet to find out how to fix this, because
Microsoft doesn't have a downloadable veresion of Windows
Installer for XP, saying "It comes with XP".

If ANYONE knows what Greg and I can do, help us, please.

Thanks
