unable to uninstall and reinstall via Add/Remove programs

I needed to uninstall my Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.5 and then reinstall.
The uninstall seemed to work, but when I tried to reinstall I received the
message: 1607 unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime. I noticed
that the program was still listed in add/remove programs, but when I tried to
remove it I received the message: another installation is already in progress
- complete that installation before proceeding. I am unable to completely
uninstall or reinstall. Help!
