Inserting a video clip in PowerPoint slide presentation

The subject video clip is an "avi" clip which will play
using Media Player. However, after trying to insert it
into a PP slide presentation, I get a message, "There is
no driver installed on your system". I'm using XP.

In that case, it probably uses a proprietary codec. You might open the
AVI in some video editing software and resave/recompress it using
something more standard.
