Importing Picture Files into Forms

I am trying to design a custom e-mail form (message) with
somewhat of a company letterhead and cannot seem to import
my logo from a file into the e-mail form. In the message
form design mode I use the "Image" tool from the "control"
toolbox to form an image placeholder. Then I call up
the "advanced properties" dialogue box for the image
placeholder and click on the "picture" property. I then
select browse for the file that contains my logo and click
select/open, but nothing happens. The file is a 40KB jpeg
file (.jpg) that I created using Adobe Illustrator. I
tried this also with a random jpeg file (size = 13KB) that
I downloaded from a web site on the internet and it worked
fine (!!????!!). I tried another test with a simpler jpeg
file of 8KB that I created using MS Picture Viewer, and
again nothing happened. I'm perplexed ... I don't
understand why the Internet jpeg file seems to work
(import) okay, and those I create don't. Isn't a jpeg
file a jpeg file ? So I still don't have my logo enhanced
e-mail form. Can anyone help ?
