Hi. When I try to resize a picture and send it from my windows photo gallery
or camera program I get the message that I need a MAPI compatible e-mail
application. I have tried to go into set default programs and make sure I
have all the defaults, but windows mail is not listed in the programs, jut
windows mail(news) and it says all the defaults are set. Help please

Sounds like it is asking you to install a software package containing
Outlook,
also known as the MAPI client under Vista.

It can help to close the picture in all other programs and attach the file
in Windows Mail.

Thank you for your quick reply. Yes, I have no problem attaching the file in windows mail, just can't resize it from there.

Sounds like your image software requires a Full MAPI client. Unfortunately,
WinMail is only a Simple MAPI client.
